Proper Snowboard Outfit: The Forest Ranger

I love having Andie home from Alaska, she inspires me with how well dressed she is. She's got the best style. I asked her to put together some snowboard outfits for the blog. Snowboard gear is expensive, you sort of have to collect it all piece by piece over time, so it's nice to have an overall look you are aiming for in the end. Well, today we give you The Forest Ranger for your proper mountain snowboard inspiration!

To complete the look:
helmet
beanie
goggles
backpack
jacket
snowpants
socks
boots
gloves
hoodie

I love it, thanks Andie!

(and stay tuned in for more proper snowboard outfits)

Frye + Burton Snowboard Boots

By golly, Burton has done it again!

Last year they had this awesome pair of Moccasin Snowboard Boots which completely melted my native american mountain loving heart, and this year they are tugging at my cowboy loving spirit!

This is crazy to me... burton + frye boots = mind blown!

This is what Proper Mountain Women have been hoping for since the beginning of time... I mean, if riding down a mountain strapped to a snowboard isn't the wild wild west, I don't know what is. We need more western inspired snowboard gear, it just makes sense to me!

The Burton x Frye Snowboard Boot is more then I could have ever hoped for. It's fabulous. The classic Frye cowboy boot shape turned into an elegant women snowboard boot is the dreamiest fashion to hit the slopes this season. It makes me want to design a whole western snowboard outfit, complete with chaps and a cowboy hat to go with it.

Dreeeammmy!

Burton Deer Print Jacket

One of the reasons I love fall so much is because of all the men chasing around deer and elk while decked out in their camo... it really does a proper mountain woman's heart good to see men excited to be outside camping, shooting, and being wild mountain men. I say if a man isn't home or at work, the best place he can be is up in the mountains. Most hunters I talk to say one of their favorite parts of hunting is just being up in the mountains, finding a good quiet spot, and watching the sun come up and the forest come alive. Sitting still, for hours at a time, with no distractions, surrounded by nature and the breath-taking autumn backdrop. I'm sure, whether they are aware of it or not, God speaks to their souls... and men who speak with God, and wear camo at the same time? now that's just down right dreamy.

And while I am a lover of camo, unless you yourself are hunting, lets save it for the mountain men. Proper mountain woman don't wear camo excessively. One of the reasons why is because there are jackets like this one that exist. Why would you ever wear camo when you could wear this cute jacket with little deer silhouettes on it? This willow flannel pullover by burton is gorgeous, it gives the message that you enjoy the great outdoors without looking too manly, and the happy red should help keep you out of a hunter's scope as well.

Board Review: Deja Vu Flying V (13/14)

This board may be the most gorgeous board to grace the snowboard scene this season, Burton's Deja Vu Flying V.
Here's a closer look to the detail on the bottom of the board. I love everything this board stands for; withdrawing to the wilderness and enjoying the quiet mountain tops... to see more of the beautiful text click here. I also enjoy the western chalkboard look of it. This is all I have ever wanted in a snowboard.

Moccasin Snowboard Boots 13/14

Tonight I was clicking around and browsing Burton's website to see what was new for 2014 when I clicked over to see what the boots looked liked (I just so happen to need a new pair this year).. let me tell you, I rarely get excited about snowboard boots because they all look the same to me, but when my eyes met with this pair of beautiful boots I got really excited.

I am drooling over these boots! And I think they've already sold out of my size!

I love them so much. Whoever designed them was on the same brain wave I have been on, I have been thinking for years that we need to add a little more flare to women's snowboard boots, and the western/native american design is right up my alley.

How gorgeous.

Snowboard Review: Stigma Snowboard

Another burton snowboard. I like this freestyle board, it's beautiful.
The graphic of the woman singing into the microphone? wonderful.
That and the high heels, lightning bolts and strong grip on that case makes for a great collage.
I also like the name... Stigma.
This board is also half off HERE.

(also comes in purple and green)

Snowboard Review: Lux Snowboard

I think this is a pretty snowboard.
Burton has classy designs, I like the cursive 'burton' underneath.
This is a 2009 model, and is totally on sell right now, 50% off.
Yea for spring clearance!
