For the past few of years my family has emailed each other Christmas wish lists at the beginning of the holiday shopping season... we are usually pretty good at picking out or making thoughtful gifts for each other, but these wish lists are super helpful when you are stumped and don't know where to start. A couple days ago I searched through my inbox to find wish lists from years past, and I was surprised to see that the lists haven't changed much over the years, and each list reflects of my siblings personalities perfectly. They made me so happy to read! We are all so similiar and so different at the same time, I love that.
I was so intrigued and delighted at their individual wish lists that I decided to curate some gift guides for each of them, mostly for my own pleasure, and partly because maybe it would be helpful for someone else who might be stumped on what to get a loved one this year.
Two weeks to Christmas!!!!! Yeeha!!!
For my sister and room mate who adores her life in the big city, yearns for weekend adventures, and loves cozy moments creating things and drinking tea:
2 | watercolor pain set - (a new hobby she wants to try)
3 | meta grip premium bob pins (these have been on her list before, her favorite bobby pin)
4 | sleek head lamp (the girl loves head lamps even around the apartment)
5 | cute black high heels (because she loves feeling like audrey hepburn)
6 | [to buy] [to make if you have time] plant tote (she has plants all over our perfectly decorated downtown apartment, I think she would love some new fun textures to add to them)

8 | new fun camera strap (cat strap) (polka dot strap) - (to spruce up her camera she takes with her everywhere)
9 | elegant octogonal etsy earrings (these are on her list this year, hopefully someone gets them for her)
10 | books she has had on her christmas wish list over the years:
a a vagabond for beauty by everett rues - which every utah adventurer should read
b travels with charlie by john steinbeck - one of her favorites
c screwtape letters by cs lewis - her own copy to mark up
d peter pan - beautifully illustrated to keep forever
e the pied piper of hamelin: russell brand's trickster tales - she loves russell brand for his wit and command of the english language
For my brother the DJ, who has fine taste in food, books, and clothes...always gives you the perfect gift, just started a funny podcast, and dreams of sailing the world to find his dream girl:
1 | cool socks with cool patterns (this is always on Max's list, and ever since Stance started making socks we've been fans.... the ones with the tropical prints on these remind me of him and his love for the South Pacific) (stockton to malone) (chop hop) (julius) (bayside) (dunes)
2 | this knife (for that rare time when max wants to go camping... he'd want a manly knife)
3 | dry erase spray paint (because he's always wanted to tag stuff)
4 | krink markers (he's a creative guy that wants to write on everything)
5 | this sweater (he's always wanted a sail boat and I feel like this would look daper on Captain Max)
6 | cards against humanity (I just think his room mates would get a kick out of this game)
7 | daft punk legos (which combines two things that Max loves the most)
8 | this pixelated winged back pack (just in case he wanted something colorful to wear on campas one day)
9 | travel scarf (for those overnight flights that he takes every summer to the South Pacific to lead humanitarian trips, I've always thought being a in straight jacket was the only way to fly.... but this scarf may work)
10 | books he has had on his wish list or that I think he'd enjoy:
a calvin and hobbes box set - because his books that he's had since he was little are falling apart
b the art of manliness - max loves being a well rounded man
c bereolaesque, the contemporary gentleman & etiquette book for the urban sophisticate - I think Max would dig this guy
d container atlas: a practical guide to container architexture - since he pins a lot of container stuff
e star wars popup book - why wouldn't he like this?
For my brother the insomniac, who loves Halo, pulling pranks, and dreams of owning his own business one day:

10 | books I think he'd enjoy:
a rolad dahl's ghost stories - he loves a good ghost story
b ben hogan's five lessons - personalized with his three initals since he's really getting into golf
c smartcuts - to inspire his entrepreneurial spirit
d name of the wind - if you have a brother that likes to read and hasn't read this - get it for him!
e in cold blood - because he loves a twisted story and needs to know who capote is
For my beautiful baby sister who loves Alaska, is spending the winter snowboarding, collects perfume, and can't stop snap chatting:
1 | la lune print (to tie everything together in her new apartment, she found this print on Etsy and love love loved it)
2 | mag light (I'm guessing the bigger the better)
3 | a knife (she simply typed 'a knife' on her wish list, not sure what kind... but I think she would dig a stiletto)
4 | this chloé perfume (the girl collects perfumes, this little guy seems perfect to pack in her gym bag)
5 | snowboard foam mat (to combine her alaskan fishing love and snowboarding love together)
6 | washi tape (here here and here) (what girl wouldn't want more washi tape?)
7 | camera lens kit for iphone (because she can't stop taking pictures)
8 | this circle ring (such an Andie ring)
9 | vinyl (el camino) (breakers) (20/20) (because all three of these would sound great coming from her record player)
10 | books for Andie:
a hell boy vol. 1 (because she loves the art and story)
b sticker nation: the big book of subversive stickers (she needs more stickers!!!!)
c gentlewoman (to empower her, literally the best dating and etiquette book for women)
d becoming an interior designer (to inspire her to greatness)
e one line a day journal (to document the next five years of her happy life)
