Tonight we had family home evening and I loved it! It was fun because McKay was down from Logan, and I love having her around - she came down to help some neighbor kids with pinning bugs for class. She also helped identify this weird bug/turd thing I found in my room. Mom gave a good lesson and we read Sam's email that he sent us today from his mission on Bainbridge Island. Sam is doing so good! And then we took out the three big binders which hold the letters Max, McKay and I sent home on our missions, and we read aloud the letters/emails we had written home closest to today's date. It was fun. Missions make me happy. Mine especially.
Then we made caramel apples.
After, mom and I drove up to Kohlers in the dark to get some milk. The weather is blustery right now, and I think the leaves gave up holding on and all fell down today. The ride up to Kohlers to chit chat with Ken was dark and gloomy... perfect autumn storm weather. It made me glad I had been outside all weekend long, taking advantage of the autumn leaves and october splendor.
Andie took these photos in the Hollow on Saturday:
this is one of the Wollenziens making honey, which we had on our peanut butter sandwhiches:
And these are of our little mule ride we went on along the river (just mary, andie and I), which was so beautiful, the leaves were sooo pretty.
i was hoping you got some pictures of your mule ride.... it looks as beautiful as you described....
