Sharing Time: Porcupine Fashion Animals

you know how everyone is obsessed with owls and birds? I think the new fashion animal is the porcupine and the hedgehog. I mentioned this while hanging out with Kaylene in Seattle, and she said she had noticed this as well and was ridiculed for saying so to others. (kaylene would kill for a pet hedgehog)

anyways, for those of you who don't believe... I found proof all over etsy and the web that it's true. the birds are dying.
ta da:

actually, this probably doesn't mean much.
I swear you can prove anything manipulating the internet,
...er, I mean, using the Internet.

  1. I am hating these hedgehogs.

Please don't show up to work wearing any of those things.

    Please.

  2. i personally think the porcupines are a big improvement over the birds. but it's also true that you can find proof of anything online.

  5. I've loved birds/owls since I was little and my G-ma gave me a little one, so I've hated seeing them exploited over the past couple years (it's kind of like when a band you like makes it big and then the annoying girl from HS starts liking them too, so you don't love them as much even though they haven't changed. You know?) But I like the porcupines and such, they're cute to me. Well done.

  6. Wait! I never got a chance to get into owls! now i don't know what to do... should i ride this new wave and be recognized as a front runner (but eventual become one in the masses),

or should i start with owls and run the risk of beings accused of un-trendiness and/or unwilling to let go of the past?

of course, there is a chance of being seen as cool for wearing them when they are no longer in style (but it would probably be to soon for that)

Or it could show that owls were always my "thing" and i am staying true to myself. thus making me cooler.

the porcupines themselves are very interesting and i would love to be associated with them. as for the owls, i have always had a thing for them. i just never jumped the bandwagon.

maybe i should branch off and start my own animal trend. that would be ideal, but how would you go about this?

i like hippos. and i think a Rhino could do well too. i would say praying mantis but McKay kinda took the whole "Bug" thing didn't she. we would all feel like copy cats.

but then again, isn't that what its all about? copying others.
    i'll keep thinking.

(if you are reading this, i cant believe you read the whole thing!)

    Maybe Bats!!!

  8. stupid... how about using the lungs from an animal or other internal body parts... wouldn't that be more original? Or how about teeth? I think dentists would really appreciate that and then perhaps their suicide rate might go down. Of course, I'm the one with bird house wall paper in my room... thanks Dad... and parents wonder why their kids are gay.

  10. This is pretty exciting. We're going from sky to ground in one fell swoop!

I think Kaylene could probably get a hedgehog from my grandma's neighbor, Loraine. She could name him Sonic.
