Postcard From Alaska

Got a post card from Andie! She's the best little sister. I love what she wrote.

Inscription on the back:

Hey Whitney,
Thanks for the postcard. These past couple of days here in Ketchikan we have been getting so much rain. It's also Super moon so the tide has been coming up almost to the roads. Life is so great here. Alaskan women are the most tough women. The 7th and 8th graders are all sent away to survival camps and so everyone knows how to live off the land and build camp fires. If I've learned anything form living here it's just to be tougher, to love the rain even when it rained 6". I've learned to definitely love my self more, to embrace my natural beauty, to let my hair go wild, and to love a good pair of faded jeans. I've learned that I can enjoy getting my hands dirty and to enjoy putting on some grungy clothes and a hat and spend hours out fishing.

Because enjoying and embracing this beautiful world around us is the only way to truly learn to love yourself and to be happy.

Love you so much,
<3 AK
