It was nice to see the Dewey's and watch Mary and Devon as parents. And the Simpsons are great... I wasn't going to stay two nights, but they promised me hawaiian haystacks on Sunday so I stuck around. I LOVE hawaiian haystacks. Also, on Saturday night after the kids were all in bed we dipped strawberries in chocolate together and ate them while playing the ladder cube horse game personality tests.
A thing I like best about my friends is that they like moving and doing. Always going to down to the beach, always playing a game, and happy to hit up a thrift store along the way. So fun, so easy, so accommodating. And I love that the Simpsons carved out a weekend of their busy lives, and moved all their kids to the beach house for a few days just because the Dewey's were coming into town. They are the best.
I love Pedro's...
this balloon was part of a photo shoot till the little girl let go of it when the adults weren't paying attention:
this is how fun Mary is to hang out with these days:
yum!:
On Sunday when I was on my way home, I lost my car keys and we had to search the entire beach house for them. Chip even went through the trash in the garage! And you know when you have lost something, you feel like such a space-cadet. That's how I felt. In the end I just took Chip's car home, and luckily they found the keys the next day. Just not in time to stop my dad from spending over 30 bucks to mail me my spare. Awesome.
Thanks again, Chip!
Whitney, you look beautiful. It was great to see you at the Leavitts' reception! And more power to you with the healthy fooding!! Wish I'd catch a little more of that inspiration over here...
