The three of us drove down together, and then shared a hotel room the whole time we were down there. What gentlemen these boys are. I am honored to call them my brothers.
Casey, got his call a week ago... no one guessed his mission on the Orton map.. Independence, Missouri. I'm excited for him.
And Sam... Sam is nuts. And he's got really good taste in music. Driving down to Pahrump, NV with him on the music helm was a dream. Lots of Kanye, Lupe, Bright Eyes, Brand New, Daft Punk, Ratatat.. etc. Like I said, real good taste. But he's still nuts, that's why I love him. The first morning of gun camp we had to get our weapons and ammo inspected and then meet in this giant building for a quick lecture and orientation.
Sam said he needed to run to the bathroom, so Casey and I headed to the building and found it crowded and filling up quick. We grabbed two empty seats and saved one for Sam. Seats were going fast, and we had to tell a few people they couldn't have the spot next to us. Finally the presentation started, and I was nervous Sam had gotten lost out on the huge property. I got up once to go see if he was outside somewhere wandering around. I sat next to Casey and was like "that stupid kid, he's missing this and it's probably important he hears it". Casey and I kept glancing at the side door, hoping Sam would come in and we could motion for him to come sit by us. A few minutes after that, I looked down towards the speaker, and freaking see Sam sitting front and center... just chilling like a villain, best seat in the house:
That idiot.
