CBMWC Part XIII: No Country For Old Men

A couple weeks ago Mike and I watched my second favorite Coen Brother.... actually they all are starting to be really close favorites. Nothing beats True Grit. I love No Country For Old Men. I love it. I love Tommy Lee Jones, he's the perfect sheriff. I love Javier Bardem, because he is unbelievably creepy and evil. And I love Josh Brolin, the typical quiet country boy... who was also "Brandon" in Goonies, and didn't realize that till looking him up on wikipedia. Weird. I like all the characters in this movie, especially Carla Dean, Llewelyn's wife... she's such a redneck sweetheart.

The Coen Bros are so good at creating characters, really good characters. Believable characters. No one in this movie is a "beautiful" person that lives a charmed life... they all are just real people. I love that. You don't have a crush on anyone in this movie, you aren't supposed to... which helps the film drip with a good story.

A lot of people like this movie because of the bad guy. You love watching how evil he is. I also think the ending is interesting.

Two more movies to go!
