CBMWC Part X: The Man Who Wasn't There
The Man Who Wasn't There - wasn't anywhere to be found... so Mike downloaded it. Mike is good at technological stuff like that - and he won the 24 hr film festival this year because he's a genius. You can watch the movie here: The last ride of Pancho Felipe rides again (and you can see a little bit of the Orchard Shack in it too)... But enough of that, onto the latest Coen Brothers movie.
The movie was all in black and white. Billy Bob Thorton was amazing as a man that wasn't there... his character reminded me a bit of Clint Eastwoods in Gran Torino. Just quiet and to himself, thinking. Thinking and smoking on his porch.
Really, all I want to say about this movie is that I liked it, kinda long and slow, but I liked it. The Coens have a way of taking an ordinary man, who normally would have lived a normal, simple, good life, but maybe because of one bad decision - becomes a criminals, capable of doing anything. It's fascinating and sorta creepy to me.
