Pics by the Indian Road Trail head:
All sorts of wildflowers finally in bloom. Quail running up the trail on a Wednesday night date. And in this picture below you can see the windmills at the base of Spanish Fork Canyon. Rad.
Earlier this year I found the coolest secret little fire pit up near the top of Squaw Peak, and last night we finally got up there and tested it out.
Super chill summer night, hanging out without worries and deadlines. We didn't think we'd stay up there very long - but looked at our watches at one point and realized it was almost midnight. I guess we didn't want to leave the view. Plus we were playing a really cool game we had just invented. It's so new it doesn't even have a name yet. But it could be called 'state charades'.
This is the face I make when people tell to pose like Charlie's Angels... at least my face was better than Mary's.
And here's Dewey:
What I'm most grateful for is that we didn't burn down the mountain and that the cops didn't come get us when I lit off a bottle rocket so Laura could find us.
I think we need to play outside more, and I also think I'm your prettiest friend.
ReplyDeletePoor natalie actually looks like she enjoys posing as Charlie's Angels.
State charades? Well, I've never heard of that, but I could go for a rousing game of running charades, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhitney I've been itching to wander those foothills for weeks! now I've gotta do it. And bottle rocket flare? Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen Mary take a picture like that. Ever. I too would love a game of state charades.
ReplyDeleteAnd Whitney I think you look beautiful without eyes. Some of my best pictures are taken with my eyes closed.
