I missed a flight this weekend. I showed up to the airport at 10 am wanting to board my plane that took off at 8:23 am... I am such a nerd. I totally just didn't read my itinerary correctly. But no big deal, I choked out some big alligator tears to the ticket agent, and she got me all set for the next flight to Seattle - and didn't even charge me! Is that normal? Do you normally have to pay to re-book? (I think the Halloween Gods were looking over me)
Anyways, because my plane was later than planned, I was running late to Kaylene's witch party I was crashing. Then, Mark was running late too! Instead of picking me up at 5:30, he picked me up at 6:00, and the party started at 7:00 in downtown Seattle. He called me while I was standing out front of the airport and said he was going to be another 20 minutes and that I had better get changed so we could head straight over to the party.
So I had to change in the airport bathroom into my full witch costume. Then I had to stand at passenger pick-up in my full witch costume. It was humiliating.
I texted Mark "I'm under the Air Canda/United sign. I'm the one in the witches hat and striped socks, you can't miss me."
Kaylene's party was amazing! Crashing that party and surprising Kaylene is one of my new favorite memories. The decorations were killer! Mark looked stunning! Kaylene's cackle never sounded better!
I wore a red horrible mask to the party till Kaylene realized it was me, it was so good because she hates witches that wear masks. A proper witch should never wear a mask.
Dinner was served.
Witches rants were thrown.
Potions were made.
Spells were cast.
And then we flash mobbed the Elliot Bay Bookstore Co. So cool.
better to flash mob the store then the other way around.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so jealous. This looks incredible! How fun. I want to hear the whole story.
ReplyDeleteCool you were in seattle. Would have been crazy if we ran into each other on the street as I was walking my dog. Did you know I live in seattle? Did you come up just for the party?
ReplyDeleteI'm really jealous too! That sounds so fun! great story!
