Last night Mark and I were graced with the wild Wynonna Judd up at Deer Valley in Park City. It was a fabulous evening. One of my favorite parts of the night was taking the scenic route from Mark's condo through Emigration Canyon. I don't think I have ever driven up that canyon, and now my new life goal is to retire in a funky house there. I loved the strange different houses along that road, and all the bikers making their way to the summit. Ruth's diner, Sun and Moon cafe, Little Del Reservoir, I couldn't get enough of that canyon!
Wynonna is a wild wild woman! Between snacking on the little picnic Mark had packed, and gawking at all the interesting people sipping their wine around us, we laughed and laughed at the weird things Wynonna was yelling at us.
At the beginning of the show Wynonna yelled out "who here has never been to one of my shows before?" - pretty much the entire crowd raised their hands. Little Miss Judd I don't think was prepared for that, she really was dumbstruck. Mark yelled "Come to Utah more!". It was hilarious.
She didn't have an opener, and she was done playing after an hour. The abrupt stop was a surprise. I was like "can someone get this woman a redbull so she can finish the show?". We weren't ready for it to be over. So after the show we drove to walmart and bought ourselves a 5$ wynonna judd cd to listen to on the way home, just so we could get our fill. And as we were driving down Parleys it started to get stormy, with lightning flashing. I guess Wynonna could feel the storm coming, and that's why she ended so quick.
Another life goal, besides living in Emigration cayon, is to be a country singer. Wynonna really is the bees knees.
Your bangs are so fun.
